Bishop Paprocki on the Importance of Attending Sunday Mass

Announcements

    Pro-Life Mass and Rosary Walk

Please consider participating in the Diocesan Pro-Life Mass and Rosary Walk.  The Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish in Granite City at 9:00 AM on September 7th.  The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Paprocki.  The Rosary Walk and Pray Vigil will begin at 10:15 AM.  Those unable to walk the distance to the abortion clinic may remain at church and pray the rosary.  After the Vigil and Benediction, there will be a lunch at Holy Family with Dr. Pat Castle, president and founder of LIFE Runners, as the keynote speaker.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Are you someone or do you know someone who has never been baptized and has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic; was baptized Catholic as a child but has not celebrated the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist; was baptized in another faith tradition but seeks full communion in the Catholic Church?  We offer an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our faith especially through the R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults).  The R.C.I.A. is primarily suited for those who have not been baptized or for those who may have been baptized but never received any training/exposure to the Faith.  Each individual's background is taken into consideration.  Faith formation sessions focus on the teachings and experience of Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during the Easter season.  You are welcome to participate in the process with your questions, your insights and your faith story in a warm, accepting setting.  For information, please contact our Parish Office at 618-344-6464 or secretary@mph.dio.org.

    Parish Picnic & Chicken Dinner

Our annual Parish Picnic & Chicken Dinner will be held on Sunday, October 13th.  It's not too early to begin thinking about how you might help us make this a success.  Sign-up sheets will be in the main vestibule of church beginning the weekend of August 24/25.  Thank you to all who make this annual event possible.
