Important Notice!

During Lent (February 22!), you’ll notice kneelers at all our communion stations.  These will allow for anyone who wishes to receive the Blessed Sacrament kneeling to do so.  Please note: kneeling is not required and reception of the Blessed Sacrament is completely valid on the tongue or hand.  As we continue to pray for a Eucharistic Revival we should all reflect on how to express greater devotion and reverence to the Blessed Sacrament in our lives.  For those who wish to receive kneeling we want to provide the opportunity to do so!

    Teen Youth Group

If you are between 13-18 years old and looking for a meaningful way to connect with others while deepening your Faith, come  hang out with The MPH Teen Group! We will be launching our group in February with Fr. Mike Schmitz's "Quick Catholic Lessons."  These short video discussions will be followed by food and fellowship. We have also started planning meetups with other youth groups for laser tag, sand volleyball, and wiffleball tournaments.  Initial dates: Wednesday, February 1 & 15, 7:00-8:30 PM, MPH Parish Center.  Call the Parish Office for more details.

    40 Days for Life

Coming Soon! This Spring we have two pro-life events that will be taking place: 2023 Spring Campaign of 40 Days for Life and the Springfield March for Life. The Spring March for Life will be held February 22-April 2. Our parish’s adopted day to pray at the Granite City abortion clinic is March 2nd. We hope many of you will volunteer to pray on the sidewalk and stand up for the lives of the unborn. On Tuesday, March 21st the Springfield March for Life will take place in Springfield. The day will begin with Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception after which Bishop Paprocki will lead a prayerful procession to and around the Capitol Building. Our parish plans to rent a bus to transport any parishioners who are interested in participating. More details concerning registration for these activities will be in future bulletins. MPH for Life
