Lenten Penance Service
We will have a Lenten Penance Service on Tuesday, March 16th at 6:45 PM with several priests available to hear Confessions.
Stations of the Cross
We will pray the Stations of the Cross after the 6:00 PM Mass on the following Tuesdays of Lent: February 23rd, March 2nd and 23rd.
40 Days for Life
Volunteers are needed to fill Mother of Perpetual Help's adopted day for praying at the Hope Clinic in Granite City. On Wednesday, March 3rd, we will need 48 volunteers - 4 for each hour from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. We are only required to have 2 people each hour, but if the weather is cold, then you could take turns warming up in your car without leaving one person alone on the line. Please call Diane Hartman at 618-344-9193 to volunteer for an hour of prayer.
In addition, there are 2 other ways for you to make a difference. Join us on Sunday, March 7th at the Mid Point Ralley at Hope Clinic. Or fill the gap by praying during hours that have not been adopted. Go to the calendar to see the immediate needs: https://www.40daysgc.com/adopt-a-day.
Our schedule is: Mondays: No Mass or Communion Service; Tuesdays: 5 PM Holy Hour and Confessions, 6 PM Mass; Wednesdays: 8 AM Mass; Thursdays: 8 AM Mass; Fridays: No Mass or Communion Service; Saturdays: 3 PM Confessions, 4 PM Mass; Sundays: 8 AM Mass, 10:30 AM Mass. Adoration Chapel Open
The Adoration Chapel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Blessed Sacrament is in a tabernacle. You must have a code to get into the church and into the chapel. Call the Parish Office at 618-344-6464 if you would like to visit the chapel and need the code.
Protocol for Chapel: 1) You must wear a mask until you are sitting. (Seats are spaced for appropriate social distance.) 2) No more than 5 people in the chapel at a time. 3) You must sanitize where you sat to pray. 4) No reading materials will be available until further notice. You can, of course, bring your own, but you must take it with you when you leave. 5) The person assigned the first and last hour of each day will be trained to properly expose/repose the Blessed Sacrament in the Tabernacle.
RCIA is underway!
Sessions have begun for adults seeking to learn more about the Catholic faith, but it's not too late to join us. Anyone considering becoming Catholic or just interested in reconnecting to the practice of their faith are invited. All inquiries are welcome. Meetings are held in the Parish Office on Thursday evenings at 6:30. For more information, please contact Andy Hentz at 618-593-0090 or .>

New Guidelines for Public Masses
Social Distancing of six feet should be maintained at all times. Tape is marking seats in the pews to maintain this. Families living together in the same household may sit together.
Everyone must wear a mask while entering and exiting the Church, as well as when coming forward to receive communion. If you choose, you can remove your mask once in your pew as proper social distancing is in place there. Again, while not in your pew, you must wear a mask while inside the Church. Please simply remove your mask when receiving the Eucharist and place it back on while walking back to your pew.
All Eucharistic Ministers will wear a mask while distributing communion.
As always, if you are feeling any symptoms at all of being sick, please stay home and ask Jesus for a spiritual communion.
Parish Office Hours
The Parish Office hours are from 9:00 AM to Noon and 1:00 to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 AM to Noon on Friday.
